BAILEY CHRONICLES - Here is part of the story of the Bailey family that I researched for about ten years. This manuscript is not perfect and either are the charactors in it. It still needs alot of editing. There are still many typos and mistakes in it, but I think it is still readable, that is if you have a good imagination. I dedicate this little 55 page story to my son Mark, who is looking for legacy from me. I think this little piece of writing can give him some insight about our family and maybe even himself.

This history is not a pretty story in some places. It was not glossed over and beautified to make a good impression for all who read it. It is just the nitty-gritty events of my grandparent's lives. There were so many missing pieces to the puzzle when I was growing up that I had to search out what happened for my own piece of mind. By the time I started this project I just wanted the truth no matter what it was, good or bad.

I was able to interview four people from my family to get this history. They didn't know that I was secretly writing down every thing they told me. All of them are dead now so I'm not going to hurt their feelings. I got what I wanted from them and am passing it on to my family. I want it to be clear to my sons that life didn't start with me. I was born in to this chaos. I found that it is good to know this history whether it is good or bad. That way you can have a part in not repeating the same mistakes over and over again. We can learn from the mistakes of those who went before us. I have heard over and over that my grandfather Ray Bailey was a casualty of the war he participated in and this may have been the reason he did many of the things he did. Part of me believes that and part of me doesn't. We are all masters of our own destiny no matter what we have been through in life. We are always in charge of our lives and are responsible for the outcome.

I noticed that even though this little piece of writing is only 55 pages long, many of the pages have been cut off from this blog. Maybe the operators of the blog felt I was using up too much space so they didn't allow the whole thing to be published here. In any case I can email the rest of the pages to anyone that may be interested in reading the end of the story. Signed Mike Bailey 2010
